An attractive edition of Dante Gabriel Rossetti's Poems, given to Evelyn Brooke by her father Stopford alongside a collection of Rossetti's Ballads and Sonnets. Founder of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood, Rossetti was a favourite of Brooke, who would later publish 'A Study of Clough, Arnold, Rossetti and Morris' in 1908, praising within 'The warmth, the fire, the white glow of Rossetti's love poetry'.
