[London].

The first edition, printed for private circulation, of the only published work of Elizabeth Haigh Gilstrap (1822-1891), of whom little is known. According to the author's prefatory remarks, much of the contents of this volume was 'written in youthful days'. The title is evidently a reference to one of the few extant biographical details, her birthplace of Colne Bridge House, Huddersfield. A revised and illustrated edition appeared in 1894.
