8vo. Contemporary gilt-tooled mottled/speckled calf, recently rebacked, black calf lettering-pieces. Boards rubbed, corners exposed. Marbled endpapers, armorial bookplate of the Royal Military College to FEPs, very occasional light spotting.
An uninterrupted, eight-year run of monthly accounts, extracted from the London Gazette, concerning the British military campaigns of the French Revolutionary Wars. Comprising letters and dispatches of both the army and navy, these bulletins relate foreign actions, victories, defeats, and casualties, and include contributions from Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington, and Vice-Admiral Lord Viscount Nelson. These annual volumes began in 1793 and ceased in 1815.

These volumes once formed a part of the library of the Royal Military College, founded in 1801 and established at Great Marlow and High Wycombe in 1802. In 1812, the College was moved to Sandhurst, Berkshire where it remains.
