[HERALDRY]. The theatre of British Honours; being An Account of the present nobility, with what has happened remarkable to Them of their Ancestors...

London. Printed for A. Lea, and R. Glynn, 1720. First edition.
12mo. xxiv, [2], 160pp. Contemporary gilt-ruled sheep. Extremities heavily rubbed, upper joint starting. Pastedowns sprung, title page detached and bisected horizontally, light damp-staining to margins, worming to gutter of first two gatherings, initial gathering working loose.
A rare survival of the first edition (the work was purportedly republished in the same year with the addition of plates, though no copies appear extant) of a series of succinct histories of notable members of the British aristocracy, with a preface 'concerning the Antiquity and Usefulness of Heraldry, and the Office of our English Heralds'.

ESTC records copies at two locations in the British Isles (BL and Middle Temple), and none elsewhere.
