A TURNING PROFIT
To be let, and entered upon at lady-day, (O.S.) 1821, a capital Wind-Mill At Congham...
Lynn [i.e. King's Lynn, Norfolk].
Wm. Turner, [1821].
Dimensions 200 x 250 mm.
Single sheet, printed on one side only, edges uncut. A trifle creased.
An apparently unrecorded handbill advertising the letting of a windmill, and attendant outbuildings, in the civil parish of Congham, Norfolk. The smock mill at Congham employed two pairs of French burr stones and a flour dressing machine. A horse mill was also being operated on the premises in 1819. The building was first recorded on William Faden's map of Norfolk for 1797 and appears to have remained in operation until 1880 when it was advertised for sale by auction.
