A provincially published memoir of poet Andrew Marvell (1621-1678) by fellow poet and essayist, David Hartley Coleridge (1796-1849), son of Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The work first appeared in 1832 under the title The life of Andrew Marvell, the celebrated patriot: with extracts and selections from his prose and poetical works, with Coleridge writing under the pseudonym of John Dove.
