Rubbed, loss to spine, joints split, upper board detached, some marking, corners bumped. Newspaper clipping pasted to FFEP, occasional light creasing, overall internally clean and crisp.
An unsophisticated copy of the first edition of the collected poetry of Scottish tenant farmer at Lochill in Haddingtonshire Jame Mylne (1738/9-1788); supposedly esteemed by Robert Burns - a subscriber to this work along with, most notably, Walter Scott. Amongst the verses are 'To Mr. Burns, on his Poems' and 'Melpomene and Thalia, a Song. Addressed to David Garrick, Esq.'
